Due to the thermometer errors we are starting to receive related to colder weather and warmer cars, we will transition to taking temperatures inside the buildings at arrival when the weather is cold. Students should still social distance as they wait to enter the building.
Our goal is to ensure we are receiving an accurate temperature reading before sending students home due to a false high temperature reading from a warm vehicle. We also don't want parents in a long line as we attempt to warm up thermometers so they function.
This may mean we have to call parents for a return trip to pick up students that don't pass the temp check inside. While not ideal, we want to have students in school if they pass an accurate temperature check.
