iDream - Integrated Career Education Continues at Llitchfield High School

Wednesday, March 4th two classes of 12th grade students participated in the “iDream” U of I Extension career exploration lesson entitled “Show Case It!”  This session was in follow up to two classes having their sessions cancelled in February due to inclement weather.

Jessie Blackburn, Director for Lincoln Land Community College of Litchfield, delivered two impassioned lessons that reinforced the importance of each student having goals & dreams.  She also related having dreams and goals to her own life story in which she pointed out that her individual goals needed to be both flexible and easily adaptable. The lesson concluded with a discussion centered around creating a vision board to assist students with staying focused upon their dreams & goals.

The “iDream iCreate '' U of I Extension curriculum is a centerpiece of the Litchfield School District’s intentional plan of assisting each of its students with career path exploration & individualized career planning.
