LES Families, This is just a quick reminder that online registration will close on August 5th. If you have not already registered your child, please log in to your Skyward account and complete the registration. Once the online registration closes, anyone who has not registered will have to come to the budling to pick up a paper copy of the registration packet. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 217-324-4034. We are SO excited to see all of the students back on August 15th!

Just a final reminder that today is the last day of school for the Litchfield school district. Elementary school report cards will be mailed next week. Madison Park and Litchfield Elementary Dismiss @ 1:15 All other district schools dismiss @ 1:30.

Baccalaureate is moving to Beacon Church, 622 N Franklin due to a power outage at the District Office. Start time still 7:00.

Art & Music Festival is tonight. Kids can dress in usual clothes or dress up a little if you like. Main think is please attend. Doors open @ 5:30. Performance is at 6:00. Artwork is on display before and after the kids sing. Unit office is located at the intersection of Ferdon and Old Rt 66 across the street from Neal Tire.

A reminder that Litchfield Schools dismiss early tomorrow due to school improvement. Elementary schools dismiss at 11:30. LMS/LHS dismiss at 11:45. All elementary LMS/LHS students will be served will be served a cold lunch option prior to dismissal. There is no afternoon Pre K.

With the cooler outdoor temps over the weekend and buildings having been switched to cooling mode for the spring, temps inside the building will be cooler than usual. You are encouraged to dress your child for the cooler indoor temps until the weather warms up later this week.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, it is necessary to postpone the April 17th Night with the Arts for Madison Park school. We will notify you of final plans soon. We appreciate your patience and support.

Reminder, afternoon Pre K and Grades K-5 will be taking some time to view the solar eclipse tomorrow. CMB Bank & Trust provided all students with solar viewing glasses and teachers will provide safe viewing directions and opportunities. Morning Pre K students will also receiving viewing glasses if parents wish view the eclipse at home. If you do not want your child to view the eclipse, contact your child's teacher via Rooms app or email or call your child's school Monday morning.

Litchfield schools will be in session during the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th . Notes are going home from PreK, Madison Park, and LES regarding plans for the date. All students will have viewing glasses donated from CNB Bank and instructions and supervision for safe viewing based on the age group. If you do not want your child to view the eclipse, please contact their teacher asap via ROOMS, EMAIL, OFFICE CALL, or written note.

We are hosting a webinar about the Effects of Screen Time and Children’s Mental Health tomorrow night at 7:30 pm! Although technology is an essential part of our culture today, what is it doing to our children's mental health? Join us as we learn from Dr. Kevin Skinner as he shares the direct link between mental health concerns and increased screen time and how to talk to your children about your concerns. Litchfield schools will be on spring break starting Wednesday next week. Schools will be closed Wednesday, March 27 through Monday, April 1. School resumes Tuesday, April 2 at the usual time.
