LES Families, This is just a quick reminder about our Trunk or Treat tomorrow evening (Tuesday 10/29) from 5:30 - 7:00 pm here at the school. Our plan is to be set up outside if the weather allows. If not, we will move inside to the gym. So rain or shine, we will for sure be having our Trunk or Treat. We hope to see everyone there! LES Families, It seems that the cooler weather has begun and we are excited for all that will be coming with it. Leaves changing, fall decorations, and the sights, sounds, and smells of this time of year. With the temperatures changing, we wanted to send a quick reminder to all of our families that students will be going outside to recess each day. This means students will need to be dressed appropriately for the weather. We suggest long sleeve shirts, pants, tennis shoes, socks, and jackets. Stay safe and stay warm Panthers!

Dear Kindergarten Families, In place of a formal progress report, our teachers are sharing your child's ESGI data, which reflects the starting skills they currently possess. K students come to school with a wide range of skills and begin the year by focusing on building routines that will support their success. This serves as a snapshot of where your child is starting. During our parent-teacher conferences in October, we will review your child's progress and have a more in-depth discussion about their experience in kindergarten. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher through the ROOMS app, by email, or by phone. Respectfully, Mr. Favre

Traffic around LECC might be a bit slow at pickup today due to some groundwork being done outside the building. Traffic will flow from NORTH to SOUTH and you can exit onto Tyler avenue . If law enforcement is present, follow their traffic redirections. Your patience is appreciated.

Dear Purple Panther Nation, I apologize for the early morning message, but I wanted to address some concerns circulating on social media regarding a potential threat. Late last night, I was made aware of a screenshot being shared on social media. The Litchfield Police were immediately contacted and began investigating. While we understand the anxiety this may cause, I want to assure you that after a thorough investigation, our local law enforcement has shared that they have no reason to believe that this recent communication is connected to our district or the original situation we dealt with last week. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority. The police have been vigilant in their efforts and have reassured us that there is no credible threat to our schools at this time. We continue to work closely with them to monitor the situation and ensure that all safety protocols are in place. As always, our schools will be open, and we look forward to welcoming your children today. Our staff is prepared and committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. We ask that you contact the school district or the Lichfield Police Department immediately if you hear of any concerns about the safety of our schools or students. See Something, Say Something. It helps us all work together to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. We greatly appreciate your trust and cooperation. Sincerely, Kelly McClain, Ed.D. Superintendent

There will be some road construction on Chestnut Street only on the stretch of road next to the school. Friday they will grind off the surface. Tuesday they will add blacktop. They are going to do their best to keep roads open during drop off and pickup times. If you are visiting in between those times, plan to park on BUCHANAN street and walk in to the office. They will provide traffic direction if work is still going on during beginning and end of days.
