Thursday, January 16th marked the kick-off of a new partnership between Litchfield C.U.S.D. #12 and the University of Illinois Extension to offer career exploration curriculum called “iDream iCreate.”  This spring Grades K, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 will be receiving “iDream” lessons designed to inspire career path thinking, creativity, and goal setting. The iCreate curriculum will be introduced in the 2020-2021 school year for the odd numbered grade levels.  Litchfield is the 2nd school district in the state of Illinois to pilot this curriculum and the 1st in Montgomery County.

Thursday, ninety kindergarteners at Madison Park Elementary received their first motivating “iDream” lesson on what they might want to be when they grow up facilitated by retired Litchfield educator Abi Martin.  The “iDream iCreate” curriculum implementation is being coordinated by Valerie Belusko, Montgomery Co.
