Previously published to the newspapers in August, the Litchfield Pre K achieved a Gold standard rating from the Illinois State Board of Education. This rating results from an intensive 3 day visit from certified reviewers. The look at things such as screening procedures, records, building and facilities. The most important factor they review is the classroom environment and the teaching that occurs in those rooms. The reviewers spent 1 full class session in each room in the fall of 2018 to see what our teachers were doing.
As a result, the program has received the GOLD rating, the highest available. Congratulations to our Pre K teachers for doing what is best for kids.
